Refund Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026
Last Updated: July 11, 2026
1. Scope
This Refund Policy applies to:
- New purchases of WP Tailwatch Pro plugin subscriptions;
- Notification credit top-up purchases;
- Plan upgrades, downgrades, and add-ons.
This Refund Policy does NOT apply to:
- The free WP Tailwatch plugin distributed via the WordPress.org plugin repository. The Free Plugin is licensed under GPLv2+ and is provided at no cost, so no refund applies.
- The WP Tailwatch companion mobile app, which is free to download from the Google Play Store.
2. First-Purchase Refund Window (Pro Plugin)
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on new Pro Plugin subscriptions from the date of purchase. To qualify:
- The request must be made within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of purchase;
- The same customer (identified by purchase email or account) must not have previously received a refund on any WP Tailwatch product;
- The Pro Plugin must not have been used in a manner inconsistent with a good faith evaluation (see Section 6: Anti-Abuse).
To request a first-purchase refund, follow the process in Section 8 below.
3. Renewals: Not Refundable
Subscription renewals are NOT refundable, including renewals that occur on the same day as the renewal charge. By keeping your auto-renewal enabled, you authorize WP Tailwatch to charge the payment method on file at the renewal date.
You may cancel auto-renewal at any time before the renewal charge:
- Log in to the dashboard at https://dashboard.wptailwatch.com;
- Open Billing > Subscriptions;
- Click Cancel Renewal on the relevant subscription;
- You will receive a confirmation email.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term. Your Pro Plugin and Service-dependent features remain active until that date.
If you forgot to cancel and your renewal charge has just been processed, contact us within forty-eight (48) hours at [email protected] and we will, at our reasonable discretion, refund the renewal as a one-time goodwill gesture and immediately cancel the renewed term.
4. Notification Credit Top-Ups
- Consumed credits (credits that have been used to deliver mobile alerts) are NOT refundable.
- Unused credits are refundable on written request within twelve (12) months of purchase, prorated to the unused balance at the time the request is received.
- Refunded credits are removed from your account at the time of refund.
5. Plan Upgrades, Downgrades and Proration
- Upgrades (moving to a higher tier or adding Sites within a term) are charged on a prorated basis for the remainder of the current term. The new tier takes effect immediately.
- Downgrades are scheduled for the next renewal date. The current term continues at the existing tier with no partial refund of fees paid.
- Cancellation mid-term does not entitle you to a partial refund of fees already paid, except as expressly set out in Sections 2, 4, and 7.
6. Anti-Abuse: Refund May Be Denied
We reserve the right to deny refund requests where, in our reasonable judgment, the Service has been used in a manner inconsistent with a good faith evaluation. Examples include, without limitation:
- Activation of the Pro Plugin on a substantial number of distinct WordPress Sites within the refund window;
- Heavy consumption of resource-intensive Pro-only features (such as bulk feature activation across many Sites or repeated full-site scans);
- Substantial consumption of notification credits;
- Apparent use of the refund window as a means of obtaining temporary access to Pro features without paying;
- Behavior reasonably indicating the purchase was not made for genuine evaluation.
We do not enforce hard numeric caps publicly; each request is reviewed on its specific facts. Genuine evaluation use (installing on one or two Sites, running representative tests, and deciding the product is not a fit) is always honored within the refund window.
7. European Union / United Kingdom Customers: Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right under Directive 2011/83/EU to withdraw from your purchase within fourteen (14) days without giving any reason.
However, by purchasing a WP Tailwatch subscription or notification credits, you expressly request that the digital performance begins immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose your statutory right of withdrawal once the digital content performance begins.
To ensure absolute clarity and fairness, our general 14-day money-back guarantee (Section 2) runs in parallel with this statutory period, offering EU and UK consumers an identical 14-day refund window subject to the standard conditions of Section 2 and Section 6.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please send a written request to [email protected]. Your request must include:
- The email address associated with your WP Tailwatch account;
- Your order number or transaction ID;
- A brief description of why you are requesting a refund (this feedback is optional but helps us improve our product).
Refund requests are typically reviewed and processed within five to seven (5 to 7) business days. Approved refunds are issued back to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
